COLOMBIA VS CHINA.

INTRODUCTION:

In this work a comparison will be made about the environmental care that is carried out by people from two different countries. You can find countries where people take the time to do activities that are friendly with the environment and keep their carbon footprint in a low number, while in other countries the awareness about the environmental issues is not enough to keep the country in a good condition and their carbon footprint is high and it need to be reduced for earth´s health. For this reason an information search will be made that will expose us the necessary information to make a successful comparison of Colombian´s and Chinese´s lifestyle.

COMPARISON AND ANALYSIS:

In Colombia there is not a big population of smokers, only an 18% of the population consumes tobacco while in China there are more than 300 millions of smokers and there is 1 Chinese per every 2 Chinese that depends on the tobacco. The tobacco is a noxious substance that affects the person who consumes it and emits greenhouse gases that make damage in the ozone layer.

Last year in China the Ministry of public security informed that there was more than 200 millions of cars in the country, which is 4 times the population of Colombia. In 2016 in Colombia reported 329 vehicles per every 1.000 habitants, this means that there is 1 vehicle per every 3 people. This means that Colombia counts with 13.6 million vehicles. The use of the car should be more moderate; people should share the car and try to use more often the public transportation or the bicycle to reduce the contamination.

A bad habit that Colombian people usually do is that they don´t graduate the use of the resources for example the energy is worn out the 10% of all the energy produce, around the 6.000 gigawatts in all the sectors: industrial, commercial, health, residence and public. The consume of electricity per capita was 1,289.57 kWh in 2014 in the country mentioned, and in China was 3,957.04 kWh in the same year. In china the energy consume increases in the same way that the economic development grows so every year it increases.

China have a problem with the garbage and with the plastic wastes, the country is called the kingdom of plastic because it is the main global importer of the recycled materials, in 2016 China and Honk Kong imported 7,3 million of metric tons of plastic dregs of other countries. This is the 70% of the plastic of the entire world. The generation of wastes in Colombia for the last 10 years has increased a 20%, Colombia produces 11.6 million tons of garbage per year and only recycle the 17%. Recycle is indispensable for a best life; the bad utilization causes ambient damage and affects the human health. For not knowing the correct way for recycling, the garbage contaminates the floor, the superficial water, the air and contributes to the greenhouse effects.

CONCLUSION:

In conclusion the people from China generates a lot of tons of C02 every year with every action that they do, Colombians compared to the Chinese have a lower impact in the contamination of the ozone layers but that doesn´t means that they don´t have to take conscience about the damage they are generating. Every person needs to try to be better every day and help the earth to last more years and it have a good condition so the next generations can live in a healthy planet. China as Colombia needs to create new politics and new ways to have less smokers, a better use of the resources, stop generating tons of garbage and try not to use the cars and use a better alternative that doesn´t generates greenhouse gases.
